This year’s Fall Short and Sweet sessions at Windsor Lavender Farm were nothing short of magical. The air was crisp, the light was gentle, and laughter carried across the field. The kids fed the goats and the cutest (not little) pig,  explored the pumpkin patch, and explored the antique truck with pure joy.

As a photographer, I’ve always been drawn to softness  and tones that whisper rather than shout. In a season where bright oranges and bold edits tend to take over, these sessions reminded me why I love creating something quieter. There’s something timeless about subtle color and tender light. It lets emotion take the lead.

The evening was filled with sweet families enjoying the farm, the lovely weather and most importantly a little time together.  These sessions are always designed to be simple and enjoyable, and watching families just be together and smile is a reason I love what I do.

Each little one also left with a sweet treat, a caramel apple kit that my daughter, Kate helped me create, as a small token of appreciation for making the day so much fun.

Kate and her friend Ayen loved hanging on the farm during the event and were tremendous help during a few sessions.  They are just funnier than me , sometimes.

The galleries from these sessions have now been delivered, and I’ve loved seeing clients choose their favorite ways to display their images. From keepsake prints and matted portraits to albums and glass box galleries, it has been so rewarding to see these moments find a place in their homes.

Thank you to everyone who joined me at Windsor Lavender Farm this fall. Your trust, your joy, and your connection made these sessions so memorable. I am already looking forward to next year’s Short and Sweet gatherings and the new stories we will create together.
