Im Erin Dyer, a Richmond newborn photographer, the photographer behind all these moments. I have been photographing children and families for over 20 years.  I pivoted to a lifestyle appraoch in 2012 after my son was born.  When I received his newborn pictures, I noticed all the cute props and hats but didn't connect with the baby in the picture.  It didnt look like my son! That's when I decided to go to start fresh and with natural poses, real settings, soft colors and make the focus the story of the family.


I specialize in timeless maternity, baby, milestone and family portraits. I  cherish every single chance I have to be part of a family’s story. I have a Chesterfield studio and serve families in Chesterfield, Moseley, Midlothian, Amelia, Powhatan and Richmond Virginia.

I am Erin Dyer, mom to two of my favorite people, Sam and Kate, and best friends with my other, my husband ,Brian.

With nearly two decades of experience, I specialize in natural light photography, capturing the authentic beauty of children and families.


After earning my degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), my passion for preserving genuine moments led me to a fulfilling career in photography.


Throughout my journey, I’ve had the pleasure of living in the charming city of Charleston, South Carolina, and the vibrant landscapes of San Diego, California. These diverse experiences have enriched my artistic perspective. Ultimately, the desire to be closer to family brought us back to Richmond, Virginia, where I continue to document the heartfelt connections that define each family.


I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and create images that will be cherished for generations to come.

My white studio provides a clean, airy backdrop leaving the focus on authentic, natural expressions that reflect the deep connection between mother and child.
