Im Erin Dyer, a Richmond newborn photographer, the photographer behind all these moments. I am mom to Sam & Kate and been married to my husband, Brian ,since 2011.
I graduated from VCU and then moved around the country from Charleston Sc to San Diego Ca before desperately wanting to come back home to be within a few miles of my mom, siblings and a lot of nieces and nephews.
I have been photographing children and families for over 20 years. I pivoted to a lifestyle appraoch in 2012 after my son was born. When I received his newborn pictures, I noticed all the cute props and hats but didn't connect with the baby in the picture. It didnt look like my son! That's when I decided to go to start fresh and with natural poses, real settings, soft colors and make the focus the story of the family.
I specialize in timeless maternity, baby, milestone and family portraits. I cherish every single chance I have to be part of a family’s story. I have a Chesterfield studio and serve families in Chesterfield, Moseley, Midlothian, Amelia, Powhatan and Richmond Virginia.
